A Greek idyll awaits you when you vacation in the simply stunning sea view Villa Lethe, set in the mountainside of central Santorini, the largest of the Cycladic islands, a jewel in the Aegean Sea. This unique exclusive escape is made up of four individual villas, set in panoramic sea views grounds, surrounded by ancient olive trees, and home to an organic vegetable and herb garden, which you are welcome to use. The villa has a total of four bedrooms, which can comfortably accommodate up to eleven guests, ideal for a fabulous extended family holiday, or a group of couples getaway. Villa Lethe is in the privileged position of occupying the highest point on the island, with sweeping views over the town of Perissa, and just below the Profitis Illias Monastery, which you can visit during your stay.

The four one bedroom villas are exceptionally well-appointed, stylishly furnished with contemporary pieces, and decorated in a calming colour palette of bright whites and light wood tones. One villa can accommodate two guests, and the other three can cater for three when one person sleeps on the sofa beds in the sitting rooms. Every villa has a fully equipped kitchen, fitted with the latest appliances, including that must-have Nespresso coffee maker. The cosy living spaces have a comfy sofa, a flat-screen television, and a dining area. The spacious bedrooms are furnished with king size beds, walk-in closets, smart TVs, and safe boxes. The beautiful bathrooms have walk-in rain showers, double vanity units, and WCs. Each villa comes with their own private sea-view terrace. The two upper villas have heated Jacuzzis, whilst the two lower ones have heated infinity swimming pools. Each property has a well-maintained garden, with a selection of inviting sun loungers, fat cushion day beds, or hammocks, and lounge and dining sets.

Gather at the lower villas, where there is a sunken sea view seating set for convivial wining and dining, not to mention the mesmerising vistas as far as the island of Crete. Every morning complimentary breakfast will be served to you on the terrace, prepared for you by the in-villa cook. Villa Lethe can be found inland in the village of Pyrgos Kalistis, the bullseye of the Greek island of Santorini, the largest of the Cycladic islands set in the azure waters of the Aegean Sea. Thira International Airport is a scenic eight and a half kilometres from your holiday home. The villa has the privileged position at the highest point of the island, set in the mountainside, with the Profitis Illias Monastery above, and the village of Perissa below.

The narrow winding Cycladic streets of Pyrgos are home to a medieval castle, which you can climb to the top of and admire the views. Visit the eleventh-century church, and sample the local volcanic wines, especially the Assyrtiko.
Enjoy a day at the beach sunbathing, swimming, and snorkelling, or sample the watersports, including scuba diving, and paddleboarding. The nearest sandy shores are a twenty minute drive to Perissa, with its black sand and beachfront restaurants and bars, or ten kilometres south to the must see Red Beach, with its striking crimson cliffs.

Spend the day in Fira, the island’s capital, with museums, a cable car ride over the caldera, cathedrals and churches, boat trips around the island and some fabulous wining and dining. Hike the caldera rim from Fira to Oia, with panoramic views of the island.

See the blue domed church roofs of Oia, eat seafood by the seashore in Amoudi Bay, visit the Maritime Museum, shop in the art galleries and bijou boutiques, end the day at the castle, sipping cocktails as you watch the sunset over the caldera. Go to Akrotiri, with a well preserved archaeological site, a castle with views of the caldera, and the lighthouse, best seen at sunset.
