NC500 Supercar Tour Luxury Scotland Hotels, Adventure Sports & Whisky Tour
Mid May to June 5-6 days.
Electric car tour, hybrid or petrol supercar tour available. Though Aston Martin do have the right cars for this tour.
A luxury supercar tour of the finest hotels, award winning distilleries, adventure sports and historic landscapes of the NC500.
Start at Glenmorangie House, the legendary distillery and boutique hotel situated in remote and beautiful Highland surroundings, just moments from the distillery. From colours and objects mirroring otheir whisky’s story, to stargazing experiences, delicious food and bespoke bedrooms hinting at Glenmorangie’s flavour.
Visible from Earth, Arcturus is a first-magnitude star in the constellation of Boötes and, accordingly to mythology, hinds can only conceive at the rising of Arcturus. Scottish Highlands luxurious resort The Torridon has named its new handcrafted gin after this powerful star.
Arcturus is distilled in Caithness with Scots lovage, kelp seaweed, rowanberries and blueberries at Britain’s most northerly distillery Dunnet Bay Distillers, producers of Rock Rose Gin and Holy Grass Vodka. Go on a tour of the distillery and meet Elizabeth, the handmade traditional copper pot, who does all the distilling!
Hotels Available Along The Route
The Torridon, Glenmorangie House, Kinloch Lodge, Rocpool Reserve, Knockinaam Lodge, Glenapp Castle, then onto Cameron House and The Crinan Hotel. Foyers Lodge to the west, sits on the very edge of Loch Ness, while Links House at Royal Dornoch is the UK’s most northerly luxury destination.
Explore more of Caithness and the food and drinks provenance via the NC 500, a 500 mile route for driving or biking around the north coast of Scotland. In addition to a visit to Dunnet Bay Distillers, savour world-class seafood at the The Captain’s Galley in Scrabster, delight in fish & chips at Scotland’s most northerly takeaway The Cabin, homemade ice cream at the Blue Door Diner in Thurso Bay, and visit whisky distillers Old Pulteney in Wick. Meet the people behind these authentic, family-run establishments.
The West coast – particularly the area of Ayrshire in the South West which often gets overlooked, is stunning. Knockinaam Lodge is a beautiful coast-side 12 bedroom property with beautiful views of Ireland and sits just over the border from England. A lot of people think of the NC500 route or the Highlands but this pocket of Scotland is a real gem.
From there a stop off at Glenapp Castle, then onto Cameron House and The Crinan Hotel which all sit by the water – either on the coast or along a loch. Supercar or Electric car? All of these hotels have charging points so either can be accommodated.
Celebrating a new partnership with route sponsor Aston Martin, who has created six special edition cars for each region on the NC500 – Caithness, Easter Ross, Sutherland, Inverness-shire, Wester Ross and Black Isle – the NC500 continues to attract drivers and motorcyclists from all over the world.
Adventure sports catered to suit individual tastes, including sailing, ballooning, jet boarding, quad biking, jet ski tours and a few surprises!
Our ultimate destination is the Isle of Islay and it historic distilleries. Luxuriate in the utter beauty of the most extraordinary landscapes in Scotland and discover its best distilleries with fine dining all the way and some adventure sports thrown in.
