Hua Hin has a well-trodden tourist infrastructure, whereas Cha Am is known for its laid-back style, 5-kilometre long beach lined with Casuarina trees and colourful local culture; it is also popular with Thai holidaymakers.
The resort caters so well to visitors that they barely need to leave the complex.
