Holidays in Vietnam offer glorious beaches, historic and hectic cities and towns, striking natural landscapes and a wonderfully friendly vibe. The name Mui Ne has many origins including the fishermen of the past who faced storms and had to hide in a cape which was called ‘Mui’ in Vietnamese and hide meant ‘Ne. The second originated as the name of the youngest daughter of Cham King who was the owner of the land. Her alias was Ne and the cape where her temple was built was called ‘Mui Ne’. Kitesurfing is a huge draw to Mui Ne with many excellent schools and world-class wind conditions. Mui Ne boasts a beautiful desert formation with white sand dunes which you can visit through the resort or independently. It is one of the biggest attractions. The area enjoys a small lagoon covered in lotus flowers and a small pine forest. Mui Ne’s harbour is stunning, particularly at night when the little boats are lit up.
Roughly forty minutes drive from the resort is the amazing Ta Cu Reclining Buddha, the longest reclining Buddha statue on top of a mountain in Asia. It lies in a very scenic area which includes temples, Buddhist statues and breathtaking mountain views. Construction of the Buddha began in 1963 and was completed in 1966. Measuring forty nine metres long and eleven metres high, it is an amazing structure. Reclining Buddhas represent Buddhas as they make their final departure from the human realm. There is a cable car to the top of the mountain and a well-maintained mountain path. The statue lies behind the Linh Son Truong Pagoda built in the late 19th century. While visiting the Ta Cu Mountain you can enjoy a collection of statues called the Pure Land Trinity.
You can take a Pan Thiet Tour exploring picturesque streets, the fish market, the famous Duc Than School, the Ong Pagoda, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Van Thuy Temple and the bustling Phan Thiet market. Another way to discover Vietnam is to take a hot air balloon trip. How amazing would that be!
