You’ll find all the mod-cons needed for a comfortable stay in Berlin – from a sleek kitchen to a dedicated home office space for those keeping one eye on work – and it’s also extremely quiet. We especially loved the contemporary wood-burning stove in the corner, as well as the host’s unique collectables and art books – it’s clear Stefan loves to travel as much as we do. Through to the bedroom, where there’s somewhat of a Scandi style, with plain bedspreads, pale wood flooring, white chairs and ample living space to sprawl out. Last, but certainly not least, the real highlight of this home is the private balcony, overlooking one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin – Teutoburger Platz. The immediate area is full of things to do (restaurants, cafes, bars), and unlike other parts of the city, these all have a real neighbourhood feel. Wander the eight courtyards of Hackescher Market, only a fourteen-minute stroll away, and look forward to returning to a calming home, cooking up your local produce and relaxing after a long day out exploring this ever-emerging city.
