With a huge vinyl collection, guitars on the walls and an out-of-this-world sound system, there’s no doubt that Vermilion Coconut is a music lover’s dream. It’s stylishly decorated with splashes of colour, relaxing balconies and a rooftop with striking 360 views of Berlin’s rooftops. And let’s not forget about the open shower. We love that everything is designed with meticulous attention to detail, making for a luxurious stay in one of Berlin’s hippest neighbourhoods.

* There’s currently no home manual — you’ll have to ask for help on how to use the appliances
* This is a lived-in home — expect to share the space with some of the host’s belongings
* Guests 3 and 4 would be on a double bed on the mezzanine level
* The fridge can currently only be opened from the top — the host is working on changing this
* Kreuzberg is very hip and popular with a bar-loving, partying crowd — if you’re looking for peace and quiet, you should probably look elsewhere
* One of the showers has glass walls facing the communal area — it’s a cool design feature, but it might not be to everyone’s taste
