Word on the street is that some of Rammstein’s members lived and rehearsed in this building in the late 1980s. You won’t be getting any free concerts, but the Volksbühne is just around the corner if you’re looking for some entertainment. It sleeps eight guests (all on single beds), which is why we recommend it for families or a bigger group of friends. The location is great – especially if you’re looking to be within walking distance of Alexanderplatz, and all of its liveliness.

*It overlooks a busy street – if the windows are open, it can get noisy
*The design is simple – we wouldn’t mind some artwork on the walls or a couple of plants
*The wifi was a bit slow when we visited
*All of the beds are singles – they can be combined to make a double
