The living room feels lived in like a comfy blanket with its distressed rug and board games for quiet evenings in. Though you’re in the heart of New York here, so you’d probably rather head out for a carriage ride through Central Park or to the trendy bars and fine restaurants of the Upper East Side. If you want to explore further, it’s just 2-3 stops on the subway to Times Square and all that Midtown has to offer.

* There’s only one proper bedroom – the third guest will sleep on a sofa-bed in a room adjoining the master bedroom (separated only by a glass door which might be a privacy issue for some)
* The home is located on the 4th floor and there’s no elevator – not everyone will appreciate the free workout
