With two living spaces to choose from, there’s room for every guest to enjoy some peace and quiet, perhaps with a book from the host’s extensive collection. We loved the arched ceiling and skylight at the back of the house, which ushers in plenty of natural light – and gives you a heads-up about the sometimes pesky British weather. The kitchen is a charming place to flex your culinary muscles, but if you’d rather someone else did the cooking them you’ll find plenty of options nearby, from fine dining to pub lunches. Stroll through the picturesque streets and make sure you stop off at the famous Portobello market to admire the antiques. Shoppers will be happy that the giant Westfield Mall is just a ten-minute walk away, and if you want to head into central London then the tube will take you there in under twenty minutes.
