Every room manages to be visually striking, from the kitchen finished in marbled porcelain and the living room complete with a grand piano to the lavish dining room with its beautiful chandelier. Even the spiral staircase and artwork-adorned hallway turn this liminal space into an architectural marvel.
What’s also remarkable is that, despite this mesmerising interior, the home’s garden will have you spending as much time in the open air as possible. On warm evenings, there’s an alfresco table and fire pit that will keep festivities going long into the night, as well as some rather eye-catching fruit sculptures that are a conversation starter and a half.
When you can manage to prise yourself away from this gem, the Thames Path runs by the home and continues in either direction in case you’re in the mood for a riverside stroll, perhaps punctuated with a pint or two in a pub with a view.
