Set in an idyllic village in the Chichester Harbour AONB, this big family home is the perfect spot to gather a group of friends or family. The house is a two-minute walk from the sea where fishing and sailboats sit in the teal water, and there’s a cosy local pub for meals out. Arriving at the home, you’re greeted with a pretty Tudor-style exterior, dappled with roses. Towering trees shield the garden, where the manicured lawns provide space for kids to run around and games of croquet and cricket. There’s a sunny brick patio for dining outside if you want to fire up the gas barbecue on a summer evening. Inside, the home is as charming as it is spacious with a huge lounge set around a wood-burner in the old brick hearth, dining for fourteen in the oil-painting adorning dining room and a huge kitchen set around an island for plenty of prep space. Sunny breakfasts can be served in the conservatory with a view of the garden greenery outside. Double bedrooms come with lavish sleigh beds and the four-person twin room has its own TV hang-out area – ideal for older kids. Our favourite details have to be the spinning wheel in the hall and WC secreted behind a faux bookshelf for a touch of magic.
