This luxurious villa sleeping up to 7 guests is very well situated a short drive from Avignon, in marvellous Provence.
Spread over two levels, the ambience is pleasant and relaxing, standing out for its minimalist and contemporary design.
The sleeping facilities are all located on the upper floor. The master bedroom comes with a long private balcony offering breath-taking views and an amazing Jacuzzi. The further two bedrooms are equally impressive, providing all necessary comforts.
The ground floor features a functional kitchen and bright, airy lounge and dining areas, ideal for evening relaxation.
On sunny days, guests can take refreshing dips in the huge private pool, sunbath in the terrace or cook tasteful meals in the gorgeous summer kitchen.The villa is located in the tiny village of Sauveterre, 11 km from Avignon, the “City of Popes”, boasting a number of Unesco world heritage sites.
There is the Palais des Papes, an important medieval gothic building, featuring one of the largest gothic fortresses in Europe and the renowned Avignon Bridge.
You can take a leisurely boat ride on the canals that pass through L’isle sur-la-Sorgue, a small but vibrant town, particularly visited for its many antique shops and where you can see working water wheels throughout.
The surrounding areas including Côte du Rhône, Tavel and Châteauneuf du Pape are also famous worldwide for their excellent wines.
The old Roman city of Nîmes is only 40 minutes by car. Often referrred to as the French Rome, Nimes is as a must see for those with an interest in history. Countless incredibly well preserved relics remain from the Roman Empire, including the ancient aqueduct bridge at Pont de Gard, the Roman temple of Maison Carree, and of course the best preserved Roman amphitheatre in France dating back to the 1st or 2nd century AD.
