Villa Martim is a stylish, modern holiday home located within a residential area and surrounded by mountains. Offering both countryside and sea views, a sandy beach and the town of Calpe are within easy reach.
The villa is styled tastefully throughout, with a contemporary look to the furnishings. The neutral décor is warmed up by pops of colour, creating a fun and family-friendly base for your holiday. The outside space provides almost panoramic views over the valleys, mountains and sea.
Villa Martim’s accommodation is set over one level. The open plan living/dining room has a lovely sense of space and light, thanks to the patio doors that give access to the outside area via a partially-covered terrace with outdoor dining furniture.
The sofas sit close to the patio doors and a window, so you enjoy the views over the garden by day and watch films on the television in the evenings. Sharing the open plan space is a dining table that seats up to six people. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped with all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine, electric oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.
There are three bedrooms in total, which are all the right size and benefit from air conditioning. One bedroom has a double bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub and terrace access, with the other two bedrooms featuring two single beds each. There’s also a family bathroom with a shower that everyone can enjoy using.
To the exterior is a terrace with a table and chairs for up to six people, making it the perfect place to dine as you watch the sun going down. There’s a private swimming pool with a selection of sun loungers on the lawned area, meaning stunning views are possible whether you get your feet wet or not.The sands of Playa de la Fossa are just a 10-minute drive away from the villa so that you can be enjoying a day out by the sea in no time at all. It’s a particularly family-friendly beach with beautiful golden sands and calm, clear waters.
The waters are therefore ideal for both swimming and snorkelling, both of which the children will love doing. There’s a long promenade lined with places for grabbing something to eat when lunchtime comes around.
The charming town of Calpe is a 15-minute drive away from Villa Martim. Here you’ll find plenty of shops and supermarkets for picking up groceries and other things you might need during your time away. It’s also a historic town that’s full of Gothic churches, Roman ruins and several museums, including the Museum of Archaeology.
One of Calpe’s most striking features is Penyal d’Ifac, a large rocky outcrop rising out of the sea close to Playa de la Fossa. Over 300 species of animals call this natural park home, as do many rare plants. Climb all the way to the top of the rock, and you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views over the sea and town.
Just 30 minutes away is the bustling town of Benidorm. Although it has a reputation for being a rowdy party town, there are many different sides to Benidorm that suit family holidays. As well as having a historic area, there are numerous fun things to do with the children. They include the theme park of Terra Mítica and the water parks of Aqualandia and Aqua Natura.
