Perched on a hillside overlooking the sea and just a few kilometres from Benissa town, Villa Amancio is all about the view. Set in a residential area, this is a green and pretty corner of Costa Blanca. Moraira beach, a supermarket, restaurants, golf and tennis are all just a few minutes’ drives away.
Villa Amancio sleeps up to six people and has been designed to revel in the view. There are three different vantage points within this private and well-proportioned holiday villa.
It’s an ‘upside-down house’, so your living accommodation is on the first floor with bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor. The view can be enjoyed from the lounge, where you can look out through four arched windows, which follow the pleasing curved shape of the outer wall. Villa Amancio features a well-equipped kitchen. The breakfast bar is all that separates it from the open dining and lounge space, making this villa the perfect holiday home for friends or family to relax and dine together.
Move outside, and you’ll emerge onto the shady and spacious terrace. It’s perfect for a leisurely al fresco breakfast, where you can sip coffee and admire the view. What a way to start the day! Down a couple of steps and you’re on the pool terrace, complete with your very own private pool, six sun loungers and an outdoor shower to help keep you cool.
The gravelled garden extends away from the villa and can be reached from the pool area down several steps. Follow it out, and you’ll discover Villa Amancio’s hidden gem – a circular patio with stone table and benches for eating your barbecue while gazing at the view of course!
On the ground floor, there are three bedrooms, including one double master bedroom and two twin rooms. There’s a fabulous terracotta tiled wet-room, a family-sized bathroom and the villa also has an additional toilet and sink.
If you can tear yourself away from your private villa and pool, there are lots to do in and around Benissa. With a choice of gorgeous white sandy beaches nearby, winery routes, water parks in Benidorm and a trip to the ancient town of Benissa, Villa Amancio is an excellent base for a fantastic holiday on the Costa Blanca. And if you’re looking for good weather; this region, on average, basks in eleven hours of sunshine every day throughout the summer. How wonderful!Villa Amancio is perfectly situated to visit two nearby towns. Moraira can be reached in about fifteen minutes. Here you’ll find a sandy beach, a marina, waterfront shops, cafes and restaurants. The impressive looking Castillo de Moraira is an 18th century stone fortress, built on the waterfront to fend off raiding pirates. You can’t go inside, but it’s worth the walk to get a closer look.
Despite its popularity with tourists and Spaniards alike, Moraira hasn’t lost its traditional charm and is one of the most unspoilt tourist spots along the Costa Blanca. You can enjoy a stroll along the cobbled streets or tree-lined avenues and have a great choice of restaurants serving seafood specialities and paella. Water sports are in abundance here, of course, so head for the marina to book sailing, diving, surfing or a boat trip.
The other must-see town, Benissa, is easily reached from Villa Amancio in twenty minutes. Saved by a restoration project about forty years ago, the medieval town hall, market square and narrow streets are rustic and authentically charming. You’ll spot hints at the town’s Moorish beginnings either in details on buildings or at the many markets and street festivals held throughout the year.
A treat for when you’re heading home from Benissa to your villa and pool is the steep winding roads bringing you down from 275 metres above sea level. Take your time and stop off at vantage points along the way because the views are spectacular and panoramic. Valleys, hills, vineyards, orchards and the sea in the distance.
A perfect day out can be finished off with a cooling dip in the pool back at Villa Amancio. Then you could watch the sun go down from your terrace while dining on local produce bought at the markets, with a glass of vino perhaps.
