Villa Hisa el Beni is small but perfectly formed. Sleeping up to four people, all your accommodation is on the first floor, meaning the views from the windows reach as far as the sea. In fact, windows are a real feature of staying here – there are lots of them! Not only is Villa Hisa el Beni light and airy, but thanks to the curved shape of the building, each window offers a slightly different aspect onto this beautiful corner of Costa Blanca.
Inside, the light décor and white tiled floor are fresh and cooling. The two double bedrooms share a bathroom and the well-equipped kitchen has a hatch area through to the lounge, making the living space feel connected and social. The indoor dining room is airy and enjoys views from three windows. But this villa has also been designed for outdoor living.
The private pool is simply stunning, with a detailed mosaic floor and steps leading you down into the welcome cool of the water. The garden itself is a world of its own – full of heat-seeking cacti, sculptured trees, hedges and ornaments. All you need to do is lie down on one of the sun loungers, detect the scent of orange blossom in the air perhaps and relax.
The covered poolside bar and kitchen area will be hard to resist if soaking up the sun becomes too much. About as quintessentially Mediterranean as you could possibly wish for; the terracotta pots, white-washed walls and tiled bar are all yours for a lunchtime salad or cooling drink.
Beyond this tranquil haven, it’s just a short drive down to Benissa’s coastline. Here you’ll find pretty coves, beaches and the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean offering water sports and excursions. Discover quiet beach-side bars, hidden-away restaurants in old Benissa town or dancing and nightlife ‘Costa Blanca style’. Whatever you want from your holiday, all of this and more can be enjoyed from Villa Hisa el Beni. A warm but fresh sea breeze blows along this stretch of the Costa Blanca. Villa Hisa el Beni is located in the unusually green hills just above the white sands of nearby Playa de la Fustera. The beach has lots of facilities and is perfect for children and sandcastle building. There’s also a marina and water sports centre for windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling or diving. Or you could venture a little further along the coast to discover the lesser-known beaches of Cala Pinets or Cala Llobella.
If you’re serious about water sports, Club Nautico les Bassetes is just a few minutes’ drive away and includes a professional sailing school and diving centre.
The natural habitat in this part of Costa Blanca enjoys special protection from the government, helping to preserve the balance of pine trees, olive, almond and orange groves and tourist development between the rocky coastline and Benissa town, about a twenty-minute drive inland.
One of the oldest towns in the Costa Blanca region, Benissa’s medieval town centre, winding streets, town hall and plaza were all restored in the 1980s and 1990s. It’s a delightful visit and authentically Spanish! If you’re after a culinary experience, their local delicacies include octopus stew and cured sausages. You could even wash it down with a glass of local vino from one of the many local wineries.
If you fancy some nightlife, Benissa has plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs with live music and entertainment. And the festival calendar here is busier than most, with concerts, markets, theatre and street performances throughout the year.
