Just a short drive from the beaches of the Côte d’Azur, Les Berbers is a grand holiday home with a magnificent private swimming pool near one of the region’s prettiest hilltop villages.
This villa has recently been refurbished to a beautiful standard and the owners have created something quite special. Light floods in from the sliding doors into the vast living space with its elegant sofas, contemporary fireplace and sleek kitchen-diner. Artwork and photography adorn the walls whilst unique sculptures and objets d’art add a touch of interesting class. Designer furnishings and fittings are featured throughout yet there is still a very relaxed ambience in this brilliant house.
Each of the four individually styled bedrooms has its own en suite bath or shower room, allowing a touch of luxury whether staying with family or friends. Head upstairs to the splendid master bedroom with its sumptuous bed, fine décor and lovely balcony where you can gaze out towards the Mediterranean. Upstairs there’s another double with a sea-view and a pretty twin bedroom, whilst on the ground floor the fourth bedroom leads straight out on to the garden terrace.
Impressive features at Les Berbers include a cinema room, smart TV and air-conditioning in some of the bedrooms. That said, much of your time will surely be outside by the wonderful swimming pool proudly positioned below the villa. Surrounded by shady pine trees and olives so typical of this region, it’s a great spot for relaxing on a sunlounger whilst the kids splash in the pool. The upper terrace is also great for shady lunches in the covered al-fresco dining area, aperitifs in the outdoor lounge and long evening barbecues as the stars come out at night.
It’s just a five-minute drive to a picturesque hilltop village famous for its ceramics and glass studios where you can explore the narrow winding lanes, admire the views towards the coast and find a characterful restaurant for some lunch. Many other idyllic villages and towns so famous in the Côte d’Azur are also nearby including Valbonne, Mougins and Grasse.  
Offering the best of both worlds, it’s also just ten minutes down to the coast where you can soon be discovering the beaches around Antibes, Cannes and beyond. Golf-lovers have ample courses to choose from whilst families will appreciate all the activities on offer across this region from watersports to water parks and cycling to hiking.

In the French Riviera, Les Berbers is set in a sought-after gated domain in the hills behind Antibes with lovely views down towards the sea.
Within a five-minute drive there’s a pretty hilltop village which is famous for its handmade ceramics and glass. Explore the picturesque lanes, admire the historic architecture, visit the village’s museums and find charming restaurants and cafes.
The Côte d’Azur has a wealth of delightful villages and towns in the hills behind the glistening coast, many with glorious views towards the coast or mountains. Market day in historic Valbonne (11km) is always special and just a little further Opio (16km) is another gorgeous place, famous for its olive oil. Mougins (10km), previously the home of Picasso, is also steeped in history and has some particularly good restaurants whilst a visit to Grasse (23km) is a must with its fascinating perfume heritage and idyllic setting surrounded by olive groves, lavender fields and vineyards.
Along the coast you have some equally stunning towns to visit such as Antibes (8km) with its charming old quarter and watersports, Juan-Les-Pins (9km) and its trendy bars as well as Cannes (14km) with its glitzy ambience along La Croisette. The city of Nice (25km) is also easily accessible for a day trip (you could even drive down to a coastal station and take the train) and a little further is the mesmerising Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (40km) peninsula.
This is also a great location for the coast, only 10 minutes away and beaches around Antibes, Villeneuve-Loubet and beyond can be easily reached. There are some particularly beautiful parts of the coast around the Cap d’Antibes where you can hunt out wild beaches via pretty footpaths or head to longer stretches of sandy beaches near Antibes and Juan Les Pins.
Of course, the famous beaches of Cannes and the red cliffs of Théoule-sur-Mer are within half an hour by car as well and just a little further south you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere around Saint-Raphaël or Sainte Maxime. For a special day out, head to the prestigious beaches near St-Tropez with Pampelonne around 90 minutes away.
This coastline and the inland countryside also offer great activities from horse-riding to cycling, go-karting to paintballing as well as theme parks, funfairs and water parks near the coast. Enjoy boat trips from Antibes whether a fishing excursion, sightseeing tour or a glass-bottomed boat looking under the sea.
