Comprising of eleven bedrooms, many offering en-suite facilities, as well as a variety of receptions rooms set over three floors, with vast areas to relax and entertain, Kings Manor really is aptly named.
The expansive open-plan layout of the ground floor will see you spoilt for choice in which room to relax in first – the entrance room, the drawing room, the sitting room, or the snug? Each area is incredibly decadent in design with dark oak panelling, rich hues of blue and deep regal reds, creams and golds, and an incredibly array of comfortable armchairs and sofa upholstered in a variety of sumptuous textiles. The ceilings drip with opulent chandeliers and every room is adorned with beautiful paintings and sculptures that perfectly complement the traditional decor. The modern kitchen can be found on this floor, and is well-equipped with all the modern conveniences you could possibly need to rustle up some culinary delights. There is a large dining table in the centre of the kitchen in rich dark oak with bench and stool seating, the perfect place to perch with a morning cup of coffee, or maybe to enjoy a meal if you don’t feel like heading into one of the more extravagant rooms to dine.
The many luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms of Kings Manor are spread throughout the first and second floors of this incredible property, and each room is just as elegantly decorated as the last. Decor is kept light and fresh with walls and carpets in the lightest natural shades with hints of warm tones, beautifully offset with solid dark wood furniture and heavy drapes and fabrics in a variety of sumptuous prints. The first floor of Kings Manor also benefits from a billiard room and formal dining room, which offers a unique touch. Both rooms are as decadent as the ground floor reception rooms, with stunning art works, rich colours and classically designed furniture all adding to the palatial feel of this incredibly opulent property.
The grounds of Kings Manor are equally grand, with vast formal lawns, a croquet lawn, rose garden, orangery and a Victorian timber framed greenhouse with grape vines. There is ample space for lawn games and relaxing in the sun, as well as plenty of spots to sit and enjoy an al fresco wining and dining experienceThe tiny village of Dunley is located near Astley Cross, just outside of Southport on Severn.
