Chalet Eloise France

Chalet Eloise occupies a commanding position on the top of a small rise in the middle of the prestigious “Le Cret” hamlet of Val d’Isere. The chalet is a typical Savoyard dwelling where stone and local slate blend harmoniously with the warmth of weathered wood to create an irresistibly cosy mountain atmosphere.
Rustic plaster walls and timber beamed ceilings complement quality soft furnishings and comfortable bedrooms (most of which have full en-suite facilities). After a long day on the slopes, an afternoon tea in front of the roaring fire and a leisurely sauna will help relax those weary limbs – or perhaps, a nice quiet drink on the sun drenched terrace is more your style?
Either way, you’re the one setting the pace at Chalet Eloise!With over 300km of marked runs, vast off piste skiing areas and Olympic downhill courses, it’s easy to see why Val d’Isere maintains its reputation as one of the best ski areas in the world.
Linked to neighbouring Tignes to form the Espace Killy, Val d’Isere remains a firm favourite with many British and European visitors. Excellent snowfall records and high altitude slopes keep the snow in Val d’Isere from late November through to early May. Some of the best skiing in Val d’Isere can be found towards the end of the season, when the sun is shining and the snow is soft.
The Espace Killy boasts a really varied terrain. The woods at La Fornet, the glacier high above Tignes Val Claret, the two snow parks and the dedicated beginners areas will keep skiers and boarders of all abilities well entertained.
Despite its huge reputation and growth over the years, Val d’Isere has maintained its traditional Alpine village atmosphere. The local French families who have lived in the resort for many years and traditional weekly markets keep a real sense of community alive in the village. Modern architecture complements the original farm buildings to form an image worthy of any postcard.
Famed for its lively night life, Val d’Isere certainly isn’t a sleepy town once the lifts have stopped for the day and dusk has drawn in. There are many bars, restaurants and clubs that come to life in the evening. From the table top dancing in your ski boots, which can not be missed, to the civilised cocktail bars and Michelin Star restaurants it’s a wonder that heads ever hit pillows!
If partying to the extreme isn’t your style, fear not – the village has a seemingly endless number of shops and cafes, a new €30 million sports centre, outdoor ice rink, ice-driving and many more organised activities.
From daily breakfasts to one off dinner parties and more, Chalet Eloise’s flexible catering services are here to make sure you’re not tied to the kitchen all week! The staff can take care of the menu planning, shopping and finer details or just be there to offer and extra pair of hands at busy times. However small or diverse your requirements, Chalet Eloise can offer a bespoke service just for you. 

Breakfasts:

The chalet offers a breakfast service where your host will lay out a selection of fresh bread and pastries, cereals, yogurts, fruit and fresh juices for you to choose from, and if there’s room for more you can always try a freshly cooked special. Once breakfast is cleared away and the dishes are washed, your host will do a quick tidy of your accommodation, making beds and plumping cushions to ensure a welcoming sight on your return!

Dinners:

Whether it’s a one-off dinner party for friends and family, a special celebration, or just the desire for a few nights out of the kitchen, Chalet Eloise’s dinner service is all about your choice. You can arrange for a hearty three course meal, wholesome home cooked dinners or a fabulous gourmet evening all served with carefully selected wine that complements the menu.

Flexible Staff:

All the chalet staff can be hired on an hourly or daily rate should you wish to arrange your own menu or just need an extra pair of hands during the busy periods. Depending on your requirements, practiced cooks and chalet hosts, fully qualified chefs and experienced chalet managers are all on hand to ease the workload. The popular “chalet board” service includes daily breakfast, afternoon tea and an evening meal served with complementary wine, on six days of the week!

After a hard day, reward yourselves by tucking into freshly prepared afternoon tea – ready and waiting for your return. Cakes and biscuits are baked each morning and laid out with tea, coffee and hot chocolate for you to help yourself to!

Dinner is all about your choice! You decide what time you would like to eat. You’ll start your evening off with a few nibbles before enjoying a delicious four course meal accompanied by carefully selected wine – but if you’d prefer something different, there’s a wine list you can use to pre-order before you arrive.

The younger members of the group can enjoy a healthy tea, served a little earlier, to ensure they aren’t kept hungry for long!

Fancy a touch of luxury?

For a nominal charge of £75 per adult and £30 per child, you may wish to upgrade to Chalet Eloise’s luxury service. The upgrade package includes:

– Daily breakfast as above but with a cooked breakfast of your choice.
– Pre-dinner drinks and canapés before each night’s enhanced three course evening meal, all prepared by a qualified and experienced chef. 
– Your evening meal will be served with a superior wine selection. 
– Complementary wine, beers, soft drinks and mixers available throughout your stay.

There’s also daily newspapers (as requested) and a concierge service to help with ski hire, ski school runs, booking restaurants and any holiday extras you desire!
