It is truly stunning.  At Angthong National Park, a protected area and home to exotic marine life, you can kayak to explore the beautiful nature or snorkel in the clear blue water experiencing the intoxicating beauty of this magical underwater world. The beautiful scenery is spectacular with towering limestone mountains, thick jungle, white-sand beaches, fertile mangroves, waterfalls, lagoons and its emerald lake. Sitting majestically on the small rocky island, Koh Faan, off the northern-eastern coast is the famous 12 metre high, Big Buddha Shrine, Samui’s most well-known landmark. It can be seen from several kilometres away. Inside the surrounding temple are many different shrines and other smaller ornate Buddhas.
There is a market selling a range of lucky charms and food stalls. Near the Big Buddha, Wat Plai Laem is a colourful and interesting Buddhist Temple with very ornate décor and art. If you donate money for the upkeep of the temple, you will be given a bag of food to throw into the teeming fish in the lake. The two waterfalls at Na Muang are probably the most picturesque on the island. The majestic set of two cascades show that the Ko Samui’s beauty is not limited to its beaches.
The name Na Muang refers to the massive purple rocks at the waterfalls.  Rocks and tree roots form a natural staircase.  Fisherman’s Village Samui is a historical part of Bopbut with rustic buildings housing boutiques and trendy restaurants. The Friday market is amazing and sells a variety of wares, and it has a wonderful, lively atmosphere. Chaweng Beach has a reputation for its buzzing nightlife, fantastic beaches, famous Green Mango strip 3 kilometres long and its eclectic, colourful local life.
