With close to 300 days of sun each year, we imagine you’ll be spending a lot of time soaking up the rays by the pool, playing endless games of cornhole and Jenga, stargazing from the hot tub and cooking up alfresco feasts on the grill.
When the day comes to a close, the three super-king size bedrooms guarantee a great night’s sleep, plus there’s a bunk room for the kids. All the rooms are incredibly spacious, but it’s the main room, with direct access to the poolside patio and an en-suite bathroom that stands out to us.
The nearby Mission Lakes Country Club includes an eighteen-hole golf course (one of 300 or so in the greater Palm Springs area) plus floodlit tennis courts. Alternatively, Downtown Palm Springs, with its fascinating galleries and innovative restaurants, is approximately 12 miles away. For a complete change of scenery, head to the rugged desert expanse of Joshua Tree National Park, a little over half an hour’s drive.
