Surround yourself with the wild landscape on the vast hiking trails through the Joshua Tree National Park – if you’re lucky enough to see them, take a few snaps of the Joshua trees themselves. When you’re back from your adventures, whip up a nice meal in the dreamy kitchen, or hire a private chef to come and do that for you, while you chill out with a drink in the hammock. If you feel like it, soak in the hot tub as night approaches and wait for the first stars to show up on the horizon. Listen to the night fauna wake up as you slowly unwind and then go inside for a relaxed movie night in front of the home cinema in the plush living room.

* Sound travels fast and far in the desert, so the neighbourhood has strict quiet hours between 9 pm and 8 am
* Please note that you’re in the desert — absolutely no smoking or the lighting of fire outside is permitted
* Since you’re in the desert, after all, you may encounter some of the local wildlife – if you leave them be, they won’t cause you any problems
*The salt water pool can be heated upon request for an additional fee of $100 per day
*The host can organise for a chef, a yoga teacher, a meditation, reiki and sound baths instructor, a masseuse and a hiking guide to come to the house upon request
*The road to the house is along a dirt road, an SUV won’ be needed as the roads are maintained but they can be a little bumpy
