Stay a couple of blocks away from South Mission Beach, a gorgeous stretch of white sand along the Pacific Ocean home to excellent swimming and surfing. Take advantage of the boogie boards, beach chairs and sand toys provided at this home and spend long days soaking in the California sunshine. When you return, a bright welcoming space has all the necessary comforts for your beachy getaway. Unwind on the sofa or fix up dinner in the kitchen (or outside on the barbecue). We love that there’s a playfully nautical theme going on here with the striped bedding and blue artwork. In the mornings, venture onto the large shared courtyard to enjoy breakfast and a strong coffee. Then it’s back to sandcastles and wave-catching on the shore, and if you have some kids in tow, they might want to visit the world-famous San Diego Zoo, only fifteen minutes away. If you’d rather stay local though, there’s no shortage of things to do. Explore the main drag of Mission Blvd, just a fifteen-minute walk away, and its many dining and shopping options. We forgot to mention that the entire walk is along the ocean.
