The fact that this beach cottage can also be found in the Mission Bay area makes the trip out to San Diego even more of a must. Ideal for a family stay or reunion of friends, think of this home as a portal to all things spectacular. The beach, for one, is a quick walk away, and so are a number of great restaurants and markets. Belmont Park is ready to keep you company for hours, but we especially recommend seeing it at night when all the lights make it feel extra magical.
Spending time at home will likely result in burgers grilling on the barbecue outside – stay out there for long after, even as the sun begins to dip, to bask in the holiday feeling. The fireplace is great for colder nights where you can enjoy takeout around the fire before playing a round of Monopoly. Hit the boardwalk on balmier evenings and if you happen to end up with a taco in one hand and a frozen margarita in the other, well, we call that a good night.
