In a tranquil San Deigo neighbourhood, this beautiful home is a five-minute drive from the waterside activities of Mission Bay Park and seven minutes from Sea World. A traditional, Spanish-style exterior hides a distinctly boho-luxe vibe inside. The white of the living room is brought to life with a small jungle of house plants, and the dining table made from reclaimed wood is an ideal place to gather for a group meal. Your host is a nutritionist and chef (she provides a fabulous list of restaurant recommendations), so rest assured the kitchen comes fully stocked with everything you need, including a bar trolley with all the necessities for mixing up a cocktail or two. Outside, the back terrace is a real sun trap. A gas grill awaits for long, sunny lunches outside and a big L-shaped sofa catches the afternoon rays. Come evening, a chiminea can be lit to keep the cold at bay.
