Location-wise, this apartment in lively Eixample absolutely nails it. Not only are restaurants, boutiques and traditional markets all within walking distance, but you’re only a quick stroll from Arc de Trimof station and some of Barcelona’s most famous landmarks. Parc de la Ciutadella and Plaça de Catalunya are both ten minutes on foot, while the sprawling sands of Platja de la Barceloneta are just a little further – about a half an hour walk.
When you’re not out exploring, unwind from the day’s adventures on the sumptuous sofa and rest your feet. With the French doors open and the sun shining through, it’s the definition of relaxing. Although the style is super contemporary, you can still spot some Spanish heritage in the high vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and charming Juliet balconies. Our favourite room has to be the modern kitchen – while the chef in the group cooks up a storm using produce from the local markets, others can gather around the lengthy bar with a bottle of wine and nibble on freshly prepared tapas. And if you need to get down to business on your holiday, the desk in the second bedroom is an excellent spot to work from home.
