This grand and elegant apartment sits between the historic buildings of Barcelona’s beating heart. You’re surrounded by Gaudi’s architecture here, with the Sagrada Familia an eight-minute walk in one direction and the fairytale-esque Casa Mila a twelve-minute walk in the other. In the streets in between, you’ll find luxury boutiques, late-night tapas bars and wine bars buzzing well into the evening.
We were charmed by the interior, particularly the hallway turned solarium with its checkerboard floor and winged armchairs for a seat in the sun. This offers a little extra space for the group to spread out, though there’s plenty of room in the living room on tufted leather armchairs and sofa. From here, French doors open to a small, furnished balcony overlooking the street’s historic buildings – the ideal spot for a morning cup of coffee. Dining can be a formal affair inside, illuminated by chandelier light. That’s if you’re not too busy exploring every fine-dining restaurant or casual eatery in the Eixample neighbourhood around you.
