Close to the centre of Begur on the Costa Brava, this villa combines a contemporary interior with enticing outdoor living space. You can marvel at the extensive sea views from its poolside terrace and gardens, just 2km from the beach at Sa Riera.
Wander inside Villa Manuel from the terrace and you will find the main living area, featuring a spacious and comfortable lounge with large windows and a lengthy seating area. Past a modern dining space is a large kitchen, and also on this level is a bathroom and the master bedroom. This room has the use of its own en-suite and dressing room.
Two double bedrooms with their own bathrooms can be found upstairs, and another on the lower level. The magnificent outdoor pool curves around a sun terrace where you have loungers and a barbecue, and offers views down towards the village beyond the well-manicured lawn.
The village of Begur is a delight to discover, and full of old Spanish character. Hallmarked by its cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings, it sits on a hill by the remains of a medieval castle. Local vineyards provide the opportunity to try the white wines they produce, and a good number of bars and restaurants can be found around Begur showcasing the rich Catalonian cuisine.
If you’re seeking rocky coves and golden sands, it’s just a short drive to the coast where some of Spain’s best beaches line up, including Sa Tuna, Llafranc and Aiguablava. For cultural city trips, head to Girona and explore the Old Town, and don’t miss the opportunity to experience the colour and vibrancy of Barcelona, around an hour away.Begur sits inland just a short drive from Sa Riera beach. This sandy beach is large and wide, so, despite its popularity, tends not to feel overcrowded. The village itself cascades down a hillside, watched over by a ruined medieval castle, and is full of Catalan charm. The whole family will be welcome at any of its many restaurants found on the main square, and the local park has a lot to offer the children.
The village has an array of shops and markets to explore, and lies within reach of numerous secluded coves like Sa Tuna and Aiguablava. It’s easy to reach towns like La Bisbal and Palafrugell from Begur – both are within a 20-minute drive – and you’re also well-placed for the regions larger cities (and airports), with Girona 45 minutes away and Barcelona around an hour from Begur.
