Tucked away in a small village and surrounded by rolling countryside and beautiful hills, Villa Valpurga is a comfortably furnished and family-friendly holiday home. Its idyllic setting and large, private garden make this a relaxing villa where you can get away from it all.
Villa Valpurga feels like a home away from home, with its convenient features and sociable spaces to enjoy the company of family or friends. It offers everything you could need for an enjoyable stay, as well as plenty of extras to make your time here even more special.
On the ground floor is an apartment that features a living room with a sofa bed and a well-equipped kitchen. Two double bedrooms are also on this floor, with one having an ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom features two single beds and a sofa bed for flexible sleeping options. There’s also the main family bathroom.
The first floor is another self-contained apartment, with the second-floor apartment being of a similar layout to the one on ground level. Here on the second floor is where you’ll find another two bedrooms, with each having an ensuite bathroom. There’s also a living/dining room and kitchen, with direct access to the outside space.
Split into several areas, the outside space surrounding the villa is expansive. There’s a courtyard with a brick barbecue and small dining area for enjoying al fresco meals. This is adjacent to a games room. Steps take you up onto the main terrace with a large, private swimming pool and a selection of sun loungers with parasols.
Further into the garden are a lovely lawned area with an aviary, children’s swing and a range of mature trees and plants. It’s a relaxing place to chill out and find the perfect shady spot, whether that’s to do some light reading or to soak up the tranquil atmosphere.
*From June 2019, renovation of the upper floor will be completed, this will provide 4 bathrooms, 1 toilet, 5 bedrooms, with a capacity for 12 people.  Please enquire for further information. Due to the rural situation of the villa, the beautiful and dramatic countryside of the Dalmatia region of Croatia is right on your doorstep. You can go horse riding, biking or hiking through the hills and see the area from a new perspective.
Restaurants and shops are around a 15-minute drive from Villa Valpurga, with the best choice to be found in towns and cities along the coast. There are plenty of beaches on the coast too, with one of the most popular beings at Žaborić, just outside the town of Šibenik.
Here you’ll find a mix of pebble and sand to lay your towel down or, or set up a rented sun lounger in the perfect spot. The beach slopes gently down to the sea, making it a particularly good place for children to enjoy a swim.
On the beach are a few bars, with cafés, restaurants and shops close by. You can hire watersports equipment such as paddle boats and jet skis, and there’s a playground for the little ones. The promenade is a lovely place to go for a stroll or cycle.
The historic, coastal city of Šibenik is a 30-minute drive away. It’s as pretty as a postcard, with terracotta-roofed buildings dominating the skyline and spreading right up to the bay.
You must give the steep streets of the old town a visit and tick Šibenik Cathedral, St Francis’ Church and St Michael’s Fortress off your sightseeing list.
