Villa Linjee is one of the fabulous Kanda Pool Villas, located on Koh Samui’s north-east coast in Bophut. Bophut is very close to the famous Big Buddha and the lovely town of Maeman. Fisherman’s Village, in the centre of Bophut’s magnificent beach, is a warren of narrow roads brimming with old wooden Chinese shop-houses and some modern buildings. The Friday Bophut Walking Street night market is lively and colourful, with ample shopping opportunities.  

The Big Budda is the most famous landmark on Koh Samui. It is huge at 12 metres tall, and it glows. Located inside the grounds of the Wat Phra Yai Temple, the golden Budda is a favourite attraction with hundreds of cameras at the ready! The Wat Khunaran Temple boasts mummified monks displayed in caskets surrounded by flowers, candles, incense sticks and fruit offerings. Wat Plai Laem is a very colourful, busy and active Buddhist temple, also not far from Villa Linjee. 

West of Kanda Pool Villas is the popular Maenam Beach. The beach has excellent views of Koh Phangan Island. Maenam has its own atmospheric nighttime Walking Street. Koh Phangan is Thailand’s fifth-largest island. Its unspoilt beauty is accented by a hilly, lush, tropical jungle interior as well as the idyllic, long white-sanded beaches. There are over 20 nearby dive sites. The island still boasts raucous half-moon and full-moon parties but is relaxed and quiet during other periods. Away from Hat Rin’s parties and a couple of forest venues, couples enjoy world-class food, moonlit beach strolls and tranquil evenings. 

Cheweng’s main Green Mango strip is neon, vibrant and buzzy. It boasts a colourful night market for small gifts and spices as well as a colourful nightlife with notorious clubs and cabarets featuring the famous ladyboys. Dining and shopping options are numerous. 

The Namuang Waterfalls are remarkable with the rocks having a purple hue with the reflection of the water. The central, mountainous jungle of Koh Samui can be explored by foot, motorbike or jeep. Also worthy of a visit are the Hin Lad Waterfall and the Buddhist Hin Lad Waterfall Temple.
