The garden at Knockando is a true paradise. Towering palm trees and flowering hedges grow in between all of the lounging areas that the garden offers. Sun loungers line the pool while a traditional style hut lies at one side. The furnished hut is ideal for poolside alfresco dining and for entertaining guests well into the night. Directly opposite sits an additional hut equipped with two sun loungers and a small table. Here, you can escape those sometimes-overpowering sun rays and enjoy a little shade.
Beautiful flowering trees bring the large garden to life and can be admired from the outside bar. You can enjoy a range of tropical cocktails without even leaving home. An outdoor games room sits next to the bar, consisting of a ping pong table and foosball table.
Stunning tropical colours decorate the bedrooms, with smooth marble floors adding elegance. The rooms offer a massive amount of space to really unwind in during the nights before going to sleep and bright natural light, beaming in from the large windows. Evening dining at Knockando is an exceptional experience. The exquisite dining room is beautifully designed and decorated, resembling an exclusive restaurant with wonderful views.When you want to explore this beautiful Caribbean island, Montego Bay is a great close by destination with plenty to see and do. Montego Bay Cultural Center, which is a museum and a historic site that dates back to the early 19th Century, is only a short 20-minute drive away. The small museum is an ode to Jamaican history, Rastafarianism and all that represents Jamaican people and culture. You could easily spend an hour here, getting lost in the culture of the country and how it came to be what it is today. The museum also houses the ‘Freedom Monument’, which is a tribute to all of the slaves that fought in the rebellion. A brilliant and knowledgeable tour guide will lead you into history and will ensure that nothing goes unseen.
While you’re in Montego Bay, one of the best ways to see the island is through a horseback ride and swim. This excellent tour allows you to see Jamaica’s glorious scenery up close while blissfully riding a horse. You will explore the countryside and beach before entering the sea and creating once in a lifetime memory while gliding into the water on horseback! This is not your everyday activity and during your ride, you will explore the rainforest and native plants.
