Our favourite aspect of this stunning property is the pool terrace. The heated infinity pool extends out towards the sea, view views that will take your breath away. You can soak up the sun on beach chairs, with a refreshing glass of wine or cocktail in hand, can you think of anything better?
The interior of Villa Apuana combines elegance and quality in modern styles. The ground floor is designed for recreation and relaxation, boasting the gym, sauna and billiard room with access leading out to the summer kitchen and outdoor dining area. An annex offers a separated apartment, perfect for couples that want a little extra privacy.
On the first floor, you can enjoy the villa’s main entertaining space, where a bright living area, fully equipped kitchen and social dining area open out onto the fantastic pool plateau. Marbled splashbacks combined with ombre curtains make this space calming, softening the modern styles, with blues that match the bright sky overhead!
There are three king-sized bedrooms, and one twin bedroom completing the house, each offering its own stylish en-suite. In this way, you can flit between moments of complete privacy and comfort, to lively and social instants with your guests. Villa Apuana is situated within close vicinity of Korčula’s old town, only one hundred meters from the glistening water and tranquil shore of the beach. Korčula is the sixth largest island in Croatia, at 20 miles long and between 4 and 5 miles wide on average, and is known for its dense forest, quiet coves, small stretches of sandy beaches, vineyards, and olive groves! The island offers plenty in natural beauty, as well as abundant medieval palaces and churches, creating a remarkable holiday location, balancing the man-made with the nature.
The enchanting main town, Korčula Town is often called ‘Little Dubrovnik’ thanks to its many medieval squares, churches and palaces, while the towns of Vela Luka and Lumbarda are also well worth a visit during your stay. Croatia’s mainland can get terribly busy, however the shores of Korčula are always a little more subdued. Located a little more out of the way and with several ferry services only operating in the summer months, if you choose to travel outside these months, you are almost guaranteed a quiet, tranquil break away from the hustle and bustle of tourist towns and the stresses of day-to-day life!
As a holiday destination, both on the island and across the mainland, active holidaymakers will be delighted. Croatia is well known for its outdoor adventures, with windsurfing, scuba diving, rock climbing, hang-gliding, and walking among a few of the outdoor pursuits on offer! The dramatic coastline and the rugged mountains inland are brimming with pristine paths for cycling and rugged off-road hiking trails. Being an island, Korčula takes a little more time to reach, with ferry’s running from the mainland to get you to your villa. We always suggest travelling by day, so you can make the most of this journey, taking in the remarkable vistas and views back to the mainland as you jet off over the water to your luxury holiday home. Both Split and Dubrovnik have international airports within a few hours of the villa, while you can get ferries from all over Croatia.
