Maison Cascade is a delightful home brimming with character just a short walk from the medieval village of Orgon, in the heart of Provence.
This characterful four-bedroom villa is the ideal home for those who like to have everything at their fingertips. Inside, it’s vibrant and full of energy; an ornate chandelier casts a beautiful warm glow over the living and dining area, while the double exterior doors on all sides fill the space with natural light. The décor is utterly charming, with Persian rugs, intricate patterns and artwork and endless flowers creating colour and detail against the softly coloured surfaces. A casual set of sofas in the living room provides an interior option for relaxed socialising, while the huge kitchen offers space for the whole group to contribute to meal prep!
Each of the four bedrooms has its own unique style and all offer space to relax. There are two twin rooms, two double rooms plus one single bed on a mezzanine level. One of the bedrooms is a suite with its own with private terrace, offering guests a little extra space.
In the glorious gardens you will find all manner of wonderful options. There is, of course, the fantastic private pool. Absolutely huge, it includes a massage feature, a counter-current system, a fountain and a little waterfall! In addition to the pool itself there are plenty more options for fun and games – wonderful sun loungers with or without parasol cover, a pool house and fantastic terrace complete with beer machine, fridge and heater, a few different seating areas for any occasion and a lovely big lawn for a run around, with pine and olive trees dotted around. A table tennis set is something of a cherry on the vast cake that this wonderful villa is.
This beautiful abode is set in the charming village of Orgon in Les Alpilles National Park oozing character and natural beauty, where you will find shops, cafes and picturesque streets, just a twenty minute drive to beautiful Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and just over half an hour from Avignon. This region offers some wonderful hiking, cycling and horse-riding opportunities or head to Lake Lavau for watersports in spectacular scenery.Nestled on a rocky peak, the village of Orgon, just under a kilometre away, offers charming shops and restaurants, impressive buildings and ruins for you to explore on foot. The beautiful town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is around 20 minutes away by car, where guests can explore its old, narrow streets filled with history and punctuated by beautiful squares. Other highlights of this stunning region include archetypal Provencal villages such as Eygalières (9km), Maussane-les-Alpilles (27km) and one of the France’s Plus Beaux Villages Les Baux-de-Provence (27km).
The exquisite Luberon region is also within easy read with Van Gogh’s beloved Gordes (28km) just forty minutes away as well as some of the area’s most idyllic villages.
Just half an hour north is the impressive city of Avignon (32km), with a UNESCO World Heritage Site historic centre, each year it hosts the delightful Festival d’Avignon which attracts visitors from all over the world.
A little further is Nîmes (62km), sometimes called the ‘Rome of France’, located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Cévennes mountains. Nîmes is home to many remains of the Roman Empire as well as all kinds of museums and markets in amongst its palm-lined streets and also hosts several high-profile festivals throughout the year.
