Villa Bella is a stunning property located in the heart of Civenna just 6 km from Bellagio. It is surrounded by the most beautiful parkland, with postcard picture views of the Lecco Branch of Lake Como and the Grigna Mountain Range.
The property has a stunning swimming pool, sunbathing area and veranda, overlooked by century old trees. The house provides accommodation for 6 people, with comfortable living and dining areas and spacious bedrooms.
The friendly but unobtrusive owners have their own residence on the far side of the park and a driveway with its own independent parking area and garden. They are very happy to help arrange tours, wine tastings, restaurant bookings and other services. They can also provide luxury services in the house, such as catering, cooking lessons and spa treatments.

Stretching from the Swiss Alps to the Grigne and Legnone ranges, Lake Como is guarded by spectacular mountain landscapes. Pastel-coloured villages perch along the shorelines and trail up the steep sides. In this part of Italy, there are the simplest rural dwellings as well as the palatial villas of the 18th century.
A walk around one of these central lake villages, up a cobbled avenue or across a church square, will convince visitors to pause for a moment on a sunny bench, to stop for an aperitivo at a sidewalk café or pop into a gelateria for homemade ice cream.

Civenna, just 15 minutes from Bellagio, is a welcome refuge from the lakeside bustle and offers tranquil village life while still being well-serviced. The town remains largely untouched by tourism, providing great access to both lake and mountain activities and a taste of authentic small town living on Lake Como.
From the centre of Civenna, visitors have a splendid view of the Corni di Canzo mountains, and following the road a little beyond the village will reach the famous Madonna del Ghisallo hill. According to a local legend, the medieval count Ghisallo was being attacked by bandits when he saw the image of the Virgin Mary at a shrine. He ran into it and was saved from the robbers. The apparition became known as the Madonna of Ghisallo and became the patron saint of local travelers. As the hill became a favourite among professional cyclists, the Madonna was declared the patroness of cyclists and today the shrine contains a small cycling museum that enthusiasts from all over the world come to visit.
Villa Bella is also just 90 minutes from Malpensa International Airport and is well connected to cities such as Milan and Bergamo. The lake’s vicinity to Milan has, for centuries, made it a popular refuge from city life, with many Milanese families constructing summer houses on the shores. A number of the gardens and interiors can now be visited.
Milan itself opens up an array of possibilities. Visit Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper, the Duomo or stroll down the famous shopping street of Via Montenapoleone.
Guests also have the possibility to explore some of northern Italy’s other lakes, such as Lake Maggiore in Piedmont to the west or even a day trip into Switzerland. For the cultural enthusiasts, the historical city of Turin in Piedmont is well within reach, as are Venice and Verona heading east.
