La Zagleta covers 900 hectares in Benahavis, with golf courses, an equestrian centre, a helipad, and miles of breath-taking natural scenery in the foothills of the Serrania de Ronda mountains. Views stretch out from every corner of the villa across the luscious treetops to the sea beyond, setting the scene for what is sure to be an incredible holiday with your loved ones.
The villa itself sleeps sixteen to eighteen guests across the three spacious floors. Space, style, and comfort epitomise the interior design, with elegant furnishings and Mediterranean/Andalusian-style rooms throughout. From the moment you walk in the front door, it feels like time slows done, with a feeling of understated luxury that makes your stay truly special. The main living areas include a large family kitchen as well as social dining areas both inside and out. The living room is airy and bright, with plenty of sofas where you can all gather, soaking in the tranquillity of this serene retreat.
Each of the bedrooms boasts gorgeous views across the surrounding area, with large comfy beds and en-suite bathrooms. You can think of each room as your own private retreat, soaking in moments alone or as a couple, where all worries seem to melt away. There is one bedroom with bunk beds, perfect for children and family groups.
The main social spaces guide you towards the villa’s sheltered outdoor space, where gardens seemingly stretch the whole way to the horizon, with views of the Mediterranean providing a backdrop to your day. The private swimming pool feels secluded, bordered by sun loungers where you can completely relax. There is also a sauna and jacuzzi within the villa, perfect for easing you into holiday mode, making the most of every minute in this fantastic villa.Villa Vista Calma sits within one of Spain’s most luxurious mountain retreats, La Zagaleta. Just 25km from the coast, you can reach the coastal celebrity hotspots of Marbella and Puerto Banus within a short drive. The surrounding area feels private and secluded, with luscious trees framing every view, as well as golf courses and glorious beaches at every turn.
Benahavis is part of the prestigious ‘Golden Triangle’, along with Marbella and Estepona. There are two fantastic 18-hole golf courses designed by Bradford Benz, making this a golfer’s dream and exceptional views perfect for any spectators. The elevated position of La Zagleta creates 360-degree views down towards the Mediterranean Sea, taking in Gibraltar and North Africa as well as the dramatic mountain peaks. As well as the golf courses, there is a fabulous equestrian centre and a brilliant clubhouse to keep residents and visitors entertained.
For gastronomy lovers, the village of Benahavis may be small, but it is known as the ‘Gastronomic Corner of Andalucia’. It is home to the Sabor, a Malaga catering school. Many of the dishes in the restaurants are Spanish but with a modern twist. One of the most typical dishes is marinated pork fillet following a very traditional recipe, but you will also find fresh fish from Estepona and Marbella and cuisine from many corners of the world.
Beyond the two golf courses in the resort, there are many more prestigious golf courses in the Benahavis area, including El Higueral Club de Golf, La Quinta, Gran Flamingo Golf, and Los Arqueros, designed by Seve Ballesteros, Los Flamingos Golf and Monte Mayor Golf. For those that prefer other outdoor activities, the Guadalmina River offers great canyoning opportunities with its many waterfalls and plunge pools.
For the rich and famous, Marbella is one of the most popular spots in the Mediterranean. Visitors will quickly find Michelin-starred restaurants, manicured, challenging golf courses, marinas bustling with high-end yachts, chic, designer boutiques, glitzy entertainment, and beautiful golden sandy beaches. A few kilometres east of Marbella is the glamorous town of Puerto Banus.
