Casa de Las Canas Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
An elegant four-bedroom, two-bathroom villa in Javea, Spain, with views of the surrounding valley and the stunning Montgo mountain. As soon as you enter the grounds of this modern Spanish villa, you’ll feel like you’re on holiday. The house has been mindfully decorated in keeping with the natural landscape, and the whitewashed walls and terracotta roof tiles create a minimalist aesthetic.
Upon arrival, you’ll make your way into the light and airy living room with an adjoining dining area and kitchen, which is fully equipped and with a breakfast bar. The floor-to-ceiling windows stream sunlight into the space, and the stone colours and bright whites create a fresh and airy atmosphere. Guests love to open up the doors during the day and let the warm Spanish air flow through the house, and on cooler nights, a working fireplace means curling up on the couch and feeling cosy. At mealtimes, guests can enjoy locally bought produce in the bright dining room or head out to the terrace to soak up the views under the sun and eat their meals al fresco.
Making your way to the bedrooms, you’ll be greeted by Spanish homeliness. Natural colours and fabrics make up the bedroom decor, and the spaces have been created with comfort in mind. White-washed walls and plenty of natural light create a sleeping space that guests can simply melt into at the end of each day, and the built-in wardrobes mean ample storage space for all your holiday outfits.
To really ramp up the holiday atmosphere, head outside to the large outdoor space, which has a barbecue and a playground with a slide; the ideal place for the children to enjoy the holidays. The sheltered outdoor seating area has spectacular views of the valley and is complete with stylish dining tables and chairs. This is the perfect place to while away the warm evenings and relax with a glass of wine. In the daytime, guests love to spend hours by the pool either reading or topping up their tan, and honestly, with views this good, we know why some people barely leave the garden!Five kilometres away from Casa de Las Canas is the old town of Javea, a city bursting with history which cries out to be explored on foot. You’ll walk past walls that were originally built to defend against pirate attacks and tread cobbled streets lined with white houses, flower boxes and wrought iron balconies. Head to the church of San Bartoleme in the town centre, which is the epitome of gothic architecture and make sure to visit the 18th-century town hall, which was built on a medieval cemetery. The church dates back to the 15th century and sits next to the indoor market, which sells fresh fish, meat and vegetables daily.
Playa Del Arenal is a sandy beach just south of the main part of Javea. The beige sands and clear waters make it an ideal beach for children and have earned it an EU Blue Flag in recognition of its cleanliness. Along the beach are five playgrounds and some volleyball nets, as well as jet skis and water scooters to rent.
A highlight of the region is Cap de la Nau, an area that prides itself on natural beauty and environmental protection. Cap de la Nau is cherished for its hidden coves and unbeatable coastal views, and there’s restricted access to many of the caves by motorboat. Instead, local businesses offer the more sustainable option of kayaking (dependent on weather and fitness levels). The beaches of La Granadella and Portixol hire out kayaks, and a round trip takes around three hours. Portixol bay sits to the north of Cap de la Nau within a beautiful cove with spectacular views of Portixol island opposite. The bay is renowned for its unspoiled beaches and authentic Spanish atmosphere with great restaurants and bars. In calm weather, you can swim from the bay to the island and then enjoy a fresh seafood dinner on your return. The clear waters around the area make for some of the most spectacular beaches around the Costa Blanca, and it’s no surprise the spot is so popular with scuba divers. The sheltered caves create warm and calm waters, making it a rich habitat for flora and fauna. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
