Nestled in a gorgeous, exclusive street in Val d’Isere, with easy access to the resort’s ski playground, Chalet Chouettes offers luxurious ski accommodation for up to twelve guests. The chalet boasts five beautiful bedrooms plus there are two sofa beds in the television room. Chalet Chouettes is stylish, beautifully furnished and offers a contemporary feel within its wooden clad spaces. Its traditional Savoyard architecture blends beautifully with its sleek, modern kitchen and bathrooms. The chalet boasts underfloor heating throughout with individual thermostats in each room so you will always be warm and toasty. Chalet Chouettes also enjoys a stunning stone fireplace in the living area which offers a wonderfully warm ambience. There are some extra treats in store including a jacuzzi, a sauna, a daily shuttle service to and from the slopes and a fantastic contactless catered chalet experience with options for an a la carte catering service.
Chalet Chouettes is located in the exclusive Petit Alaska area of Val d’Isere within easy walking distance of the resort’s beautiful historic centre, its exclusive boutiques, its ski hire shops, its fabulous nightlife and the Solaise and Bellevarde lifts. This picturesque Savoyard town boasts a reputation as one of Europe’s most prestigious ski resorts. Together with the neighbouring ski area of Tignes, the Espace Killy area offers a seriously impressive number of pistes and lifts, together with breathtaking scenery. The resort is excellent for all ski competency levels with nursery pistes, magic carpets, excellent ski instructors and even a few free lifts and slopes for beginners. The resort enjoys gondolas with heated seats, Wi-Fi, a number of luxury spas and a wonderful leisure centre.
Chalet Chouette’s rooms are spread over four floors. The ground floor is home to your luxury wellness space, including the hot tub, sauna, shower and toilet and the ski and boot room with its heated boot driers. There is also a garage for one car and another space outside on the driveway for a second car.
On the first floor, you will find the cosy television room with its large Smart television where you can connect to your Netflix account. It is a very useful space if some of your group want to snuggle down after a hard day’s skiing. It can be used as an additional bedroom space if required as it enjoys two sofa beds. There also two bedroom suites on this level with beautifully dressed beds and smart ensuite bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a shower.
The second floor, open plan living space is stunning with a gorgeous contemporary feel blending beautifully with the wood and stone. The living area enjoys sumptuous sofas, a lovely relaxing leather chair, a feature fireplace and beautiful views. It boasts huge picture windows and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that frame the snowy vistas and open to a delightful terrace. The contemporary kitchen is brilliantly well equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and a coffee percolator among its excellent appliances. Just the other side of the open kitchen is a gorgeous dining area with a giant table and lavish leather dining chairs.
Three luxurious bedrooms sit on the top floor with stunning views. Guests sleep like kings in crisp cottons and lovely accessories. One of the bedrooms boasts a balcony and access to a family bathroom. The other two bedrooms offer ensuite bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a shower. In total, there are three bedrooms with kingsize beds and two bedrooms with twin beds.The gorgeous Savoyard ski resort of Val d’Isere sits on the border of the stunning Vanoise National Park. Val d’Isere enjoys a fantastic location in a valley within the Alps mountain tops. The resort boasts a charming, authentic ambience, an attractive historic centre, endless chocolate-box chalets, a wonderful array of unique boutiques and fantastic bars and eateries. Val d’Isere is linked with Tignes, offering a massive ski playground. Val d’Isere’s snowfall record is brilliant with the lifts and skiing usually staying open until the end of the season at the beginning of May. The centre of Val d’Isere is a bustling high street which is surrounded by a number of small hamlets including Le Cret, Le Joseray, Le Chatelard, La Legettaz and Le Laisinant.
The Espace Killy area including Tignes is the birthplace of the Olympic skier Jean-Claude Killy. Its connections and advanced ski infrastructure is excellent with more than 3400 km of pistes and 99 lifts. As well as the Grande Motte glacier which offers 20 km of summer ski runs, it also boasts the challenging black-rated piste, Face de Bellevarde with its 915 m drop. Its height altitude from 1850 m to 3400 m guarantees some of the best snow in Europe. The ski area is perfect for all levels of skiers with its mythical slopes, almighty challenges and its quiet ski areas for beginners and children. The Valkids area and Valpark, a brilliant snow park are welcome additions for families. Passes can be bought for any number of days as well as for those that do not want to ski. Family passes are also available.
Pedestrians do not have to miss out on the stunning views and family lunches on the slopes as they can access many lifts including the Solaise gondola, the Pim Pam carpet, the Poum carpet, the Vallon gondola, the Funival, the Daille gondola, the Olympique cable car, the Fornet cable car and the Bellevarde chairlift. The resort operates some brilliant ski schools.
When the ski runs are closed, Val d’Isere is a fabulous place for a wander, for evening entertainment and for shopping. It is extremely picturesque with a 17th century church in the historic centre and delightful, characterful shops, restaurants and bars. It is a known party destination with La Folie Douce being one of it main evening attractions. For those that don’t ski or want a day off, there are some excellent spas and a brilliant leisure centre. There is a lot of entertainment for children which is very helpful. During the summer, Val d’Isere enjoys fabulous biking and hiking trails and the wonderful Vanoise National Park.
