Rent Villa Cutarella Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
Tucked in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca mountains, this charming villa enjoys a tranquil setting with stunning views of La Concha in the distance and a vibrant garden enclosed with leafy trees and regional plants, making it the perfect place to spend a peaceful and relaxing break.
Arranged over two floors, Villa Cutarella has a traditional appearance with whitewashed walls and typical terracotta tiled roofs. An attractive courtyard announces the entrance, opening to the ground floor where the main living area has been well-designed with bright and spacious rooms and a beautiful marble floor running throughout. A generous seating area occupies the front room, with an arrangement of comfortable chairs and sofas facing out to the garden and an impressive fireplace sitting within one of the walls. Large sliding doors give access to the terrace, inviting you to leave them open throughout the day and enjoy a gentle breeze. A recess to the one side creates a division from the dining area whilst producing the impression of an interior garden, adding vibrancy to the space with its palms and leafy plants. The modern kitchen can be found at the rear of the room, with sleek surfaces and a stylish breakfast bar positioned in the centre. A further opening gives access to the side terrace, where a generous outdoor dining table sits beneath the shade, offering the perfect place to enjoy leisurely meals whilst looking over the garden or entertaining guests with a barbecue.
Wrapping around the front of the villa, the shaded veranda has a mixture of seating options for guests to choose from. Relax with a book and enjoy the peaceful setting, or share a bottle of wine in the evening and make the most of the balmy summer nights. A series of stone steps lead down to the garden level, where the beautifully maintained lawn is enclosed by inspiring planting and towering trees, offering a completely private setting. A large swimming pool sits in the centre with an outdoor jacuzzi to one end and a charming outbuilding to the other where you can find an informal seating area and further dining table. A handful of loungers are positioned along the pool’s edge, perfect for reclining in the sun and drying off after a swim. There is also a convenient outdoor shower and a sauna room.
Five-bedroom suites are on the ground floor, each carefully decorated with large double beds and beautifully finished bathrooms featuring marble counters and spacious bathtubs or showers. One of the rooms has an interconnecting door leading to a study room where a sofa bed offers additional space, making it a good option for a young family. Located in the leafy neighbourhood of Nagueles, Villa Cutarella enjoys a tranquil setting tucked in the foothills of the majestic Sierra Blanca mountains whilst still being just a short drive from Marbella’s centre, making it easy to enjoy the golden coastline and lively seafront.
Popular with locals, the nearby Nagueles Park is perfect for a picnic, and you can stroll beneath the pine trees and enjoy a quiet day in the shade setting. Several trails cut through the park, inviting you to explore the mountain’s foothills or take a more challenging route up the rocky landscape. A short drive away, the hillside village of Ojen is an excellent place to start, where you can follow the path to the summit of La Concha and be rewarded with spectacular views that stretch down to the coastline.
Spending the day beside the sea couldn’t be easier, with over twenty beaches to be found to the north and south. Playa Nagueles is lined with the area’s most exclusive hotels and restaurants, and the long stretch of golden sand is perfect for strolling along the shore or enjoying a refreshing swim in the cool blue water. There are several ‘chiringuitos’ where you can escape the heat and stop for a bite to eat or stay late in the day and watch the sunset over the sea whilst sharing a bottle of wine.
Brimming with culture, Marbella itself has plenty to explore, with a mixture of traditional barrios and chic avenues lined with trendy shops and galleries. Originally the Medina, you can explore the town’s older quarter to discover the narrow streets and historic buildings. Head to the centre to find the wonderful Plaza de los Naranjos, where you can enjoy a drink on one of the terraces or stop by Mauro’s Heladeria for an ice cream and perch on the central fountain to soak up the square’s lively atmosphere. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around the town where you can sample traditional plates of tapas or head down to the marina to enjoy a plate of fresh seafood. From the marina, you can also hop on a ferry and take a short boat trip down the coast to visit the trendy port of Puerto Banus.
As well as its sunny beaches, Marbella has a wonderful selection of parks, such as Parque de la Constitución, where you can escape the heat under the leafy trees. Tucked behind the marina, the park once formed part of a private residence but now offers locals a tranquil escape from the city’s bustling streets. Parque del Alameda is another lovely spot where you can wander down the avenues and admire the charming fountains and colourful tiles before joining the Avenida del Mar, a wide urban promenade which stretches down to the seafront and features a series of curious bronze sculptures designed by Salvador Dalí.
